ATENEO middle blocker Joan Narit will embark on a new journey in her volleyball career after opting to leave the Blue Eagles and turn pro with new PVL team Farm Fresh.
Ahead of the Invitational Conference set on June 27, the Foxies introduced Narit as their latest recruit yesterday.
“Done being a college student, ready to live life as a full-time athlete,” Farm Fresh said on its social media accounts.
The 6-foot middle blocker only played three seasons for Ateneo where she became a starter for the Blue Eagles in Seasons 84 and 85.
Narit became the second Ateneo spiker who joined the Foxies, reuniting with Pia Ildefonso.
Farm Fresh, one of the three newcomers in the league, will be steered by veteran coach Jerry Yee and is expected to have Mycah Go and the core of reigning two-time NCAA champion College of St. Benilde.
The Foxies are grouped in Pool B along with Petro Gazz, F2 Logistics, Choco Mucho, Cignal, and Foton.
Group A is composed of defending champion Creamline, Chery Tiggo, PLDT, Akari, and Gerflor.
Two foreign guest teams will spice up the semifinal round of the Invitationals.
