ALEX Eala and Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva picked up their second straight win Tuesday night, demolishing Belgium’s Sofia Costoulas and Laura Hietaranta of Finland 6-3, 6-1 to reach the French Open juniors girls’ doubles quarterfinals.
The top-seeded pair needed just 57 minutes to follow up on their 6-4, 6-4 first-round win over Evialina Laskevich of Belarus and Russian Alina Schcherbininia last Monday.
They were scheduled to play in the quarterfinals against the winner of the second-round match between fifth-seeded Petra Marcinko of Croatia and Hungary’s Natalia Szabanin and Canada’s Annabelle Xu and the Czech Republic’s Barbora Palicova.
