THE Capital1 Solar Spikers are poised to brandish their new weapons in the PVL Reinforced Conference, with key draft picks Leila Cruz, Roma Mae Doromal and Gilliana Torres expected to provide the needed boost.
Capital1 is aching to redeem itself in the import-spiced meet, which begins next week, after finishing second to the bottom in its maiden campaign in the last All-Filipino Conference.
Veteran coach Roger Gorayeb said the Solar Spikers struck gold after getting Cruz as No. 2 overall in the historic inaugural Draft last Monday.
The 5-foot-11 opposite spiker, according to Gorayeb, can surely help the Solar Spikers’ drive as the former La Salle ace can not only deliver in attacks but also defend at the net.
“Height talaga.
