ALTHOUGH his charges are unbeaten in five outings, College of St. Benilde coach Jerry Yee is still wary of San Sebastian College, which has a knack for essaying comeback wins.

“Lahat ng teams naman may ganyang ability (to come back), so we always practice from a set down, 10 points down, whatever (situation), so iyong talaga ang ine-ensayo ng lahat ng teams,” Yee said.

“Kami same lang, we practice those situations so ganoon lang,” he added.

The Lady Blazers stake their perfect record when they battle the Lady Stags today in the 97th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament at the Paco Arena.

The curtain-raiser is set at 12 o’clock before Mapua University tries to get back on track when it collides with San Beda University at 2:30 p.m.

CSB is out to do an encore of its 25-17, 25-11, 25-12 triumph over the Lady Cardinals last Tuesday.

The Taft-based spikers will bank on Mycah Go, Gayle Pascual, Jade Gentapa, Michelle Gamit, and setter Cloanne Mondoñedo.

San Sebastian survived a five-set thriller 24-26, 28-26, 25-20, 25-20, 17-15 against Perpetual Help five days ago that hiked its slate to 4-1 for solo third.

The likes of skipper Reyann Cañete, Katherine Santos, Kristine Dionisio, Kamille Tan and Bianca Ordona will be counted upon by the Lady Stags. — Abby Toralba
