CSB opened its title-retention campaign last Sunday on a high note, whipping the Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals 25-15, 25-14, 25-23.

“Sinabi ko talaga sa sarili ko na all out ako this season and iyon nga, as a graduating (player) gusto ko i-lelead ko iyong team namin,” veteran Michelle Gamit said.

Gamit, along with finals MVP Jade Gentapa, Gayle Pascual and skipper Jessa Dorog are expected to show the way for the Lady Blazers who will try to stop San Beda’s Angel Habacon, Chynna Castillo and Kattleya Molina.

Lyceum scored a 25-17, 13-25, 25-15, 25-21 win over San Beda last Tuesday.

“Actually, pumasok kami dito sa season na ito sabi ko nga underdog pa rin kami eh kasi especially mayroon kaming mga bago, pito iyong bago namin,” Lyceum coach Cromwell Garcia, who will pin his hopes on of two-time Best Setter Venice Puzon, Joan Doguna, Johna Dolorito and Janeth Tulang.

“Kasi, sabi ko nga sa mga bata back to zero ulit kami, hindi kami puwedeng dalhin namin iyong achievement namin noong nakaraan na season going to this season kasi iba na ulit ito, bago nanaman.”
