Blazer taekwondo jin Jose Mari Aiko Ong totaled 6.917 points to bag the gold in the men’s heavyweight division of the NCAA 96th season speed kicking competition last Tuesday.
Ong’s teammate Clark Jayson Sacay was a close second with 6.650 to capture the silver.
Glen Paul Salazar of the San Beda University notched 6.367 points for the bronze.
San Sebastian College’s Ryan James Fajardo finished with 6.058 points for fourth, while at fifth was Roi Vinson Belano of host Letran with 5.983 points.
Ramcess Bautista of Arellano University (5.800), Jan Camilo Bagaporo of Letran (5.708), and Al-Zalman Jamero of Arellano (5.525) were the other participants.
Just last Monday, CSB’s Matthew Cloyd Roxas and JV Anthony Villaron ruled the middleweight division with 6.408 and 6.383 points, respectively.
