COLLEGE of St.Benilde tries to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss while Mapua University eyes back-to-back wins as action in the 100th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament resumes today, Thursday, at the Arellano University gym in Manila
The defending champion Lady Blazers take on the San Beda University Lady Red Spikers at 11 a.m. while the Lady Cardinals battle the Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals at 1 p.m.
St. Benilde is out to recover from a stunning 25-22, 25-23, 26-24 defeat last Saturday to the Letran Lady Knights, a defeat that snapped the Green-and-White’s 43-game winning streak dating back to 2020.
Skipper Mycah Go, ClydelCatarig and Wielyn Estoque are expected to lead the Lady Blazers.
San Beda goes into the match hoping to finally crash the win column.
The Angel Habacon-less Lady Red Spikers absorbed their fourth consecutive loss five days ago at the hands of EAC Lady Generals 25-17, 25-27, 17-25, 22-25.
Mapua scored its first win last Friday, a 25-19, 18-25, 21-25, 25-20, 16-14 decision over the Lyceum Lady Pirates.
