LAST season’s finals MVP Gayle Pascual is paying the trust of College of St. Benilde coach Jerry Yee with her steady presence as the team shoots for back-to-back NCAA women’s volleyball titles.
The opposite spiker has been a consistent scoring machine for the Lady Blazers, leading the Taft-based squad in Game 1 of the best-of-3 finals against Lyceum 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 last Tuesday.
CSB can wrap up the race-to-2 series in the second game tomorrow at The Arena in San Juan
A deciding Game 3, if necessary, will be on Sunday at the same venue.
“Si Gayle naman iyong inaasahan diyan na consistent, si Gayle, si Jade (Gentapa), si Mich (Gamit) so kung sino man mag-off (game), kumbaga, may nag-i-step up,” Yee said. “Si Gayle lagi namang gigil pumuntos. . . so good thing na nandiyan sa amin si Gayle.”
