CHERY Tiggo seeks a fourth straight win and the solo lead when it battles Choco Mucho today in the PVL Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
The Crossovers and the Flying Titans clash in the curtain-raiser at at 2:30 o’clock, while PLDT tries to recover from a loss the last time out when it takes on F2 Logistics at 5:30 p.m.
The belles of coach Clarence Esteban outlasted Akari 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 15-6 last Thursday.
“Ganoon pa rin, review lang namin iyong ginagawa nila, kung ano iyong weaknesses at tsaka strength nila then focus kami siguro sa blockings naming,” Esteban said.
“Medyo nawala kami doon sa blocking namin. So, iyon na lang siguro muna iyong i-ano namin, i-improve namin,” he added.
Import Jelena Cvijovic from Montenegro, skipper Mylene Paat, EJ Laure, Cza Carandang, Jaila Atienza, and Ria Duremdes are expected to lead the Crossovers’ attack.
Choco Mucho downed the High Speed Hitters 25-27, 25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 17-15 four days ago but Flying Titans tactician Oliver Almadro maintained they will have their hands full against Chery Tiggo.
“They’re on a roll. Their locals are delivering too. Consistent naman iyong guest player (nila),” Almadro said.
“We really have to prepare for them, and it will really be a good match for us.”
With a 2-1 mark, Choco Mucho will rely on reinforcement Odina Aliyeva, Kat Tolentino, Cherry Nunag, Des Cheng, Maika Ortiz, Deanna Wong and Denden Lazaro-Revilla.
