Crossovers keep bid alive

CHERY Tiggo clobbered hapless Petro Gazz 25-22, 25-14, 25-21 yesterday to keep alive its semifinals hopes in the PVL Invitational Conference at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.

Open hitter Shaya Adorador pumped in 15 points for the Crossovers, whie EJ Laure delivered 13 markers and 10 excellent receptions.

Opposite spiker Mylene Paat and middle blocker Czarina Carandang combined for 23 points, while setter Alina Bicar had an all-around performance of five points, 13 excellent sets, and 11 digs for Chery Tiggo, which snapped a three-match losing skid, counting a 25-23, 25-16, 25-18 loss to Cignal last Saturday, and improved to 1-3.

The Angels’ fourth straight that included a 25-22, 22-25, 17-25, 25-21, 14-16 setback at the hands of PLDT three days ago sent them packing.

“Actually, sinasabi nga namin sa kanila (na) wala namang impossible so lahat naman napag-aaralan, lahat naman trinatrabaho, so (sinasabi) namin is trabaho lang tayo ng sabay-sabay, gumawa tayo ng mabuti ng sabay-sabay, tiyak makukuha natin iyong panalo,” he added.
