DIANA Mae Carlos stepped up big as Creamline trounced Army 25-15, 25-20, 25-12 yesterday for its second straight win in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Carlos fired 17 points, 14 attacks, two service aces and a block for the Cool Smashers, while Michele Gumabao chipped 11 markers.
“Same lang naman noong mga previous games namin, may opportunity lang talaga na makapag-laro iyong mga (second) stringers. Iyong training naman ng first six namin same lang din naman sa (second) stringers,” Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses said.
“So, alam naman nila iyong gagawin nila. So, happy kami kasi maganda iyong nilaro nila.
Mahaba pa naman iyong liga, matutulungan pa namin iyong isa’t-isa,” he added as he fielded everyone, except Jema Galanza, in their match against the Lady Troopers.
The Cool Smashers came off a 17-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-21 triumph over Chery Tiggo last Saturday and rose to 5-1.
Royse Tubino was the lone bright spot for Army with 12 points.
