WITH the PVL Invitational Conference taking a break to pave the way for the country’s hosting of the Volleyball Nations League men’s competition week three, reigning champion Creamline wants to make good use of the lull.
Coach Sherwin Meneses said the Cool Smashers, while recovering from the rigors of their first two games, will still train.
Last Tuesday, Creamline blasted Chery Tiggo 25-22, 25-22, 25-17 then dumped newcomer Gerflor 25-18, 25-11, 25-12 four days ago in Pool A play.
“Iyong plano namin mag-rest (Friday) kasi hindi kami nakapag-break last week kasi nga Tuesday (start) game namin,” Meneses said.
“Advantage sa amin makakapagpahinga kami, and makapag-prepare nang mas maganda sa next game namin. I think may advantage,” he added.
Meneses pointed out he isn’t really concerned with the nine-day respite, saying the Cool Smashers remain competitive even in practices.
