HAVING clinched a finals slot, Creamline seeks to complete a sweep of its semifinals campaign when it clashes with foreign guest team KingWhale today in the PVL Invitational Conference today at The Arena in San Juan.
The match is set at 4 p.m., with the Cool Smashers bidding to score a big follow-up to their 25-17, 25-15, 25-22 win over Cignal last Monday that kept their run going in the single-round semis.
“Actually, every game naman kahit sino naman iyong kalaban namin talagang pinagtatalunan namin, pinagpra-practisan especially iyong team system so, iyon pa iyong talagang prina-practice naming,” Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses said.
“Hindi naman siguro importante kung foreign team or Philippine teams or club team, basta kung sino iyong nasa kabilang side lalabanan lang namin talaga,” he added.
Skipper Alyssa Valdez, setter Jia De Guzman, opposite hitter Diana Mae Carlos, open spiker Jema Galanza and middle blockers Jeanette Panaga and Celine Domingo are expected to
carry the fight for the Cool Smashers.
KingWhale will go to battle on a high after surviving PLDT 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 15-13 three days ago that hiked their record to 2-0 and boosted their drive to advance to the Big Dance.
