CREAMLINE battles F2 Logistics today in a much-awaited duel while Cignal and PLDT clash in another highly-anticipated battle as the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference get going at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.
The Cool Smashers and Cargo Movers, who topped the eliminations, slug it out at 6:30 p.m., with both teams out to get their semis campaign going on a high note.
The Cargo Movers, who topped Pool B, are out to prove their worth with a roster reinforced by three top rookies against an experienced Creamline side that swept Group A.
Focus will be on Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Alyssa Valdez, Ced Domingo and Jia De Guzman and Kim Dy of Creamline and Majoy Baron, Ivy Lacsina, Aby Maraño, Myla Pablo and Kim Domingo of F2.
Stamina will come into play as all four teams are going into the semis exhausted after a grueling campaign in the eliminations.
PLDT was forced to work for two hours and 42 minutes in ousting Chery Tiggo in five sets late Tuesday.
The High Speed Hitters are up against a Cignal squad that ousted a tall Choco Mucho side.
The match is set at 4 p.m.
Two foreign squads from Vietnam — Kin Bac Bac Ninh — and Japan — Kurashiki Ablaze — will stir up the finals race and will clash on Saturday.
F2 Logistics and Creamline will carry 1-0 slates into the semis after topping the qualifiers while Cignal and PLDT will start with 0-1 cards.
