LEE Van Corteza and Chezka Centeno completed a triumphant Philippine sweep of the men’s and women’s Predator Las Vegas Open 9-ball tournament over the weekend at the Rio All-Suite and Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the two-match finale, Cortez subdued compatriot and former World Games gold medalist Carlo Biado 4-2, 4-3 to pocket the top prize of $30,000 (around P1.68 million).
Centeno, the reigning world women’s 10-ball champion, outplayed former world 9-ball queen Chen Siming of China 4-2, 4-2 to bag the top pot of $18,000 (P1 million).
