GUARDED optimism.

That’s the mindset Cebu Chooks! is embracing when it sees action this Saturday in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Riyadh Masters at the Formula E Track in Riyadh.

“We are tempering expectations for this tournament as we are currently rebuilding our Cebu team,” Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascariñas said.

“We are just hoping for a good showing for Mac and Brandon in Riyadh,” he added.

Mac Tallo, the country’s No. 1 3×3 player, banners the Chooks quarter that also features Brandon Ramirez and Cameroonian import Mike Harry Nzesseu and Marcus Hammonds.

Zach Huang has been released from the team, while Vince Tolentino is nursing a shoulder injury that will keep sideline him for the next two months.

Hammonds, an American, previously joined Roosevelt Adams and Gab Banal during the Hongxiang Holdings Group Haining Challenger 2019.

Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 head trainer Chico Lanete is convinced Hammonds could promptly jive with his teammates.
