CIGNAL outgunned F2 Logistics 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18 yesterday to bag the bronze medal in the PVL Invitational Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Ces Molina showed the way for the HD Spikers with 19 points, while setter Gel Cayuna tossed 30 excellent sets along with six markers.
Jovelyn Gonzaga also shone for Cignal with 18 points, 17 digs and eight excellent receptions. Roselyn Doria also had 10 markers.
“First of all, thank you kay Lord, siyempre naka-survive kami buong conference na healthy, may mga injuries pero light lang. Iyong bronze medal, nakuha namin and sobrang happy kasi talagang ginusto namin itong lahat,” HD Spikers coach Shaq Delos Santos said.
“Kumbaga, para sa amin, napaka-importante nito. Ito iyong pinagkaloob sa amin, sobrang tatanggapin namin ng buong puso,” he added.
The Cargo Movers, who played without star Kianna Dy due to an injury since the middle part of the semifinals, leaned on Ivy Lacsina and skipper Aby Marano who had 16 and 10 points, respectively.
