THE Nueva Ecija Capitals hope to bring their winning ways in the new year when they take on RCP Shawarma Shack Demigods at the resumption of the PSL President’s Cup today at The Arena in San Juan.

Game time is 6 p.m., with the Capitals of businessman-sportsman Bong Cuevas and coach Jerson Cabiltes heavily favored to extend their impressive seven-game winning streak and maintain their unbeaten record in the previous year.

The Capitals concluded last year with a perfect mark highlighted by a lopsided 96-74 win over Novaliches QC Warriors last Dec. 21.

Nueva Ecija had all 14 players issuing at least one assist, contributing to the team’s record 38 dimes.

Expected to lead the way for Nueva Ecija are veterans Jay Collado, Chris Bitoon, Emman Calo, Roi Sumang, and Robby Celiz.

Fresh off his stint with the NLEX Road Warriors, returning player Hesed Gabo is also poised to take on a leadership role for Nueva Ecija.
