NATIONAL University brought down Perpetual Help 25-22, 25-22, 25-16 yesterday in the knockout semifinals to reach the Big Dance of the V-League Men’s Collegiate Challenge at the Paco Arena.
The Bulldogs advanced to the best-of-three finals, with Mike Buddin leading the scoring load for the Sampaloc-based squad with 20 points along with 11 excellent receptions.
Open hitter Nico Almedras scored 13 kills for NU, middle blocker Obed Mukaba tallied 10 markers, and team captain Joshua Retamar had eight points and tossed 19 excellent sets. Middle blocker Choi Diao also finished with eight kills.
“Siyempre sobrang thankful ako sa naging performance namin today,” Bulldogs coach Dante Alinsunurin said.
