PRINCESS Galarpe Marcial yesterday blamed the alleged infidelity of her husband, Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Felix Marcial, as the reason why he failed to achieve a podium finish in the last Paris Summer Games.

“Kaya pala. Ngayon ko naintindihan ang lahat. Kaya pala hindi binigay ng Diyos ‘yung Paris Olympics sa atin despite sa lahat ng sakripisyo at paghihirap natin. Kaya pala kasi may ginagawa kana palang ka…!” she exclaimed in a post on her Facebook account yesterday.

The post came with a televised video of Princess consoling her sobbing spouse shortly after losing his round-of-32 match by unanimous decision in the men’s 80-kilogram division to Uzbek Turabek Khabibullaev after drawing a bye in the opening round.

In a separate post afterward, the pride of Zamboanga City disclosed that he had suffered a rib injury while training with the national team in Mainz, Germany before the quadrennial competition being held for the second time in the French capital.

Mrs. Marcial’s post was the latest two days after she sued the boxer for concubinage and his alleged mistress, who reportedly also is from Zamboanga. She claimed she caught them together at an Air BnB (bed and breakfast) apartment in the city last October.

She claimed in a long post last week that she had suffered abuse at the hands of Marcia while claiming he had withdrawn their savings and built a house in Zamboanga for his alleged mistress.

The multiple Southeast Asian Games gold medalist denied having an affair and that he abused his wife.

Princess was further upset after hearing the video of a Zamboanga radio station of his estranged husband defending his “friend” and her family over the suit.

In a separate post, Princess said she was encouraged by the messages she had been getting about their situation, even from her husband’s hometown.

“Maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng tao lalo na mga taga-Zamboanga na nag me-message saken at nagpapatunay sa relasyon nilang dalawa. Kung alam niyo lang ‘yung tulong na ginagawa niyo saken. Hindi ko man ma message kayo isa isa,” she said.

“May mga mabubuting tao talaga na hindi kakampi sa kasamaan and may paninindigan sa tama! God bless you all. Gracias!” she added.

Among those who supported her was Paris Olympics veteran and boxer Hergie Bacyadan.

These were the latest developments in what began as the storybook relationship between the then-rising Marcial and the Cagayan de Oro-born Galarpe, an ex-member of the national boxing pool.

The couple even had a fairy-tale beach wedding in Batangas after the Tokyo Games in 2021.
