HAVING turned its fortunes around after three straight defeats, defending champion Ateneo now tries to stretch its winning skein when it battles winless University of the East today in the 84th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

“We have to prepare, sabi ko nga every other day ang game. No matter who the opponent is. We have to be set right away, prepare for the next game, and gain momentum in this game” coach Oliver Almadro said.

The match is set at 12 p.m. after the curtain-raiser pitting University of the Philippines and La Salle at 10 a.m.
