Blazers coach Charles Tiu said his squad is slowly showing its real worth.

“I think we’ve been a bit more locked in, paying more attention to detail. There’s more of a sense of urgency. We dug ourselves a bit of a big hole to start the season,” Tiu said. “Now we know we have to treat every game like a playoff game if we want to make it to the Final four. Dikit-dikit kasi lahat ng teams so it’s gonna be tough.

“But they’re starting to figure out their roles, understand what we want better, pero kulang pa. We’re still far from where we want to be,” he added.

The Taft-based crew is eyeing a repeat against JRU which it downed 93-85 in overtime last Sept. 29.

The Blazers whipped the Chiefs 74-56 last Friday for their fifth straight win and rose to 8-4 in a tie with San Beda University for third.

CSB will pin its hopes on reigning MVP Will Gozum, Migz Oczon, Prince Carlos and Miggy Corteza.

The Heavy Bombers suffered a 61-72 defeat to the Altas three days ago that dropped them to 8-5 for fifth.

Joshua Guiab, JL Delos Santos, and Agem Miranda are expected to show the way for JRU.

Perpetual will rely on Art Roque, Christian Pagaran, and John Abis.

Out to stave off elimination with a 2-10 slate, the Chiefs will draw strength from Lorenz Capulong, Dani Mallari, and Troy Valencia.
