BIANCA Pagdanganan shot a second straight 71 yesterday (Saturday in the US) and wallowed in tie for 54th place with four others after the penultimate round of the AmazingCre Portland Classic at the Columbia Country Club in Portland, Oregon.
Making her first cut in four tournaments after shooting a 73 and 71 in the first two round, Pagdanganan had three birdies on holes No. 11, 12 and 18 to offset bogeys on Nos. 7 and 15 over the par-72 course.
The 2019 Southeast Asian Games double gold medalist had a 215 total, 15 shots behind co-leaders Ayaka Furue of Japan (67-203) and Americans Andrea Lee (67-203) and Lila Vu (69-203), who are poised to battle for the top prize of $210,000 (around P11.9 million) in the $1.5-million (P85.5 million) event. — Bong Pedralvez
