ARMED with her renewed US LPGA tour card, Bianca Pagdanganan rekindles her Olympic comeback bid and opens her 2024 season campaign with back-to-back tournaments on the LPGA tour in Asia, starting with the Honda LPGA Thailand from Feb. 22 to 25 in Chonburi, Thailand.

After a strong windup to the US tour season, highlighted by runner-up and third-place finishes in two of her last four tournaments, Pagdanganan reclaimed her tour card and can now compete in most of the events to punch a ticket to the Paris Olympic Games barely seven months from now.

This begins with the Honda LPGA Thailand offering a total prize pot of $1.7 million (around P96.5 million) and teeing off at the par-72, 6,576-yard course in the coastal city of Chonburi, 125.8 kilometers southeast of the Thai capital of Bangkok.

Scheduled for the long-hitting golfer’s next stop is the HSBC Women’s World Championship slated from Feb. 29 to March 3 at the par-72 Sentosa Golf Club course in Singapore with $1.8 million (P101 million) in total prize money up for grabs.

Solid outings in both competitions should boost the Olympic aspirations of the ICTSI-backed Pagdanganan, who is currently ranked No. 39 in the latest International Golf Federation Olympic women’s rankings on top of being No. 131 in the Rolex women’s ratings.
