FOR the third straight time, Wilcon Depot 3×3 failed to get past the quarterfinals of the PBA 3×3 Season 3 First Conference.
But Wilcon coach Anton Altamirano is convinced it’s just maturity that is lacking in his charges.
“Unti-unti lang. May magaganda na kaming nakikita,” Altamirano said. “So, ang importante na lang dito na mag-mature pa lalo iyong team sa mga susunod pang leg.”
A silver lining was the performance of veteran guard Louie Vigil.
“Louie gave us that additional offensive option which we badly needed from the first two Legs,” Altamirano said.
“But we still have lots to work on if we want to make it to the semifinals and eventually, win the championship.”
Wilcon survived the pool phase after atoning for an 18-21 loss to San Miguel before responding with big wins against Meralco 15-13 and an emphatic 20-11 rout of NorthPort.
