WHATEVER happened to the appeal of former University of Santo Tomas coach Aldin Ayo over his indefinite suspension in the UAAP?
According to a highly-reliable Malaya-Business Insight insider, Ayo’s plea is with the league’s Board of Trustees, still waiting to be tackled nearly six months after it was filed.
“I find it weird for the appeal when he is not currently connected with any school,” the insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said yesterday.
“The appeal is with the BOT (Board of Trustees), not with the BMD (Board of Managing Directors). Not sure about its status sa BOT.”
UAAP executive director Atty. Rebo Saguisag said last November that the league is waiting for the findings of government agencies on the alleged Sorsogon bubble before it acts on Ayo’s case.
Justice secretary Menardo Guevarra said no complaint was filed before his office against Ayo.
