TNT Triple Giga reminded the league yesterday why they won the grand slam last season– they’re lethal.

After falling short in the first two Legs, they’re more determined than ever to reach the Promised Land anew.

TNT trounced Pioneer 17-13 to bag the PBA 3×3 First Conference Season 3 Leg 3 crown at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

After missing the playoffs of Leg 2 a week ago, the Triple Giga returned with a vengeance as the quartet of Almond Vosotros, Lervin Flores, Samboy De Leon, and Gryann Mendoza proved untouchable and took home the P100,000 cash prize.

Vosotros struggled against the Katibays by shooting 4-of-10 from the field for six points, but Flores, De Leon, and Mendoza stepped up to give the telecommunication franchise its first leg title this season.

Wilson Baltazar had six markers for Pioneer, which made the finals for the first time since the opening Leg of Season 2 Third Conference.

TNT ended Ginebra’s dreams of winning a historic third straight Leg diadem after carving out a 21-19 overtime decision.

Vosotros sizzled with 12 points as the Triple Giga ousted San Miguel 20-19 in the semifinals.

Pioneer won P50,000 for its runner-up finish.

The Katibays edged Meralco in the Last Eight 21-19 and stunned Cavitex in the semis 19-17 to forge a Big Dance tiff with the Triple Giga.

The Braves won the battle for third place for the third straight time behind a 20-19 victory over the Beermen and pocketed P30,000.
