FANS can expect tough action when defending champion Davao Occidental-Cocolife hosts rival San Juan today in the Manila Bankers Life-Pilipinas Super League Pro Division Second Conference Dumper Cup on tour at the RMC Gymnasium in Davao City.
The match is set at 7 p.m. after the Pampanga G Lanterns battle Koponang Lakan ng Bulacan in the curtain-raiser at 5 o’clock in the two-day road matches presented by Dumper party-list, Winzir, and Skin Care Depot.
The Kings of coach Randy Alcantara are on top with an unbeaten 9-0 mark, counting a 93-89 decision over Manila last Saturday.
The likes of Orlan Wamar, Fran Yu, and Nikko Panganiban are expected to lead the way for San Juan.
Except for a stunning 85-89 upset loss to Cagayan de Oro-PSP last Jan. 19, the Tigers are equally impressive so far in the 16-team field with a 9-1 card.
Former PBA players John Wilson and Larry Rodriguez and Keith Agovida and Emman Calo will be counted upon by Davao Occidental to deliver.
Bulacan will tangle with Pampanga Royce Hotel tomorrow before the Tigers take on the G Lanterns to cap the league’s first out-of-town duels.
Bulacan is sporting a 7-3 slate for fifth, while Pampanga Royce and the G Lanterns are holding 8-1 and 6-3 records for third and seventh, respectively.
