BLESSINGS continue to pour for Ginebra guard Scottie Thompson.

After signing a deal with local sports brand World Balance last April, Thompson is set to roll out his first signature shoe under the partnership.

“It’s truly amazing to have my own signature shoe. This is a dream I’ve always had as a kid,” Thompson said.

“For me to be able to put myself in the same light as other athletes who have their own signature line, it’s truly an honor and a blessing for me,” he added.

Before a sneak peek of the shoe, the brand released an image of the new logo for Thompson’s upcoming signature line.

Dubbed as the Scottie 1, the sneaker is the first to feature a variety of World Balance tech for long-lasting rebound and extreme traction, designed and engineered for professional level of play.

“Kung titingnan mo iyong logo, akala mo simpleng ‘S’ but if you look closely initials ko iyan and number “6,” hindi lang basta design,” Thompson said.

“The slanted “S” signifies na I’m always ready for action and about movement, tapos iyong lightning sa “T” represents speed as well as explosiveness sa laro.”

The brand will soon launch Thompson’s first and much-awaited signature basketball shoe.

The 6-foot-1 Thompson, who has five titles with the Kings and a finals MVP award he captured in the 2018 mid-season Commissioner’s Cup, became the first player since pro league legend Phillip Cezar to sign with the brand.

A former NCAA MVP with Perpetual Help, Thompson will showcase World Balance basketball and performance line for the PBA’s 46th season.
