KAI Sotto gets to toughen up before he suits up for Adelaide in the new season of the National Basketball League of Australia next month.

The 36ers are set to see action in a five-game Blitz preseason from Nov. 14 to 28.

The 7-foot-3 center and Adelaide kick off their preseason campaign when they clash with former NBA center Nathan Jawai and Kiwi forward Jordan Ngatai and the Cairns Taipans at the MyState Bank Arena.

Two days later, the 36ers collide with South Sudanese big man Majok Majok and the Perth Wildcats on Nov. 16 at the same venue.

Adelaide then gets the chance to size up its opponent in its season opener when it battles the newcomers Tasmania JackJumpers on Nov. 21 at Ulverstone Sport and Leisure Center.

A rematch against Perth will be on Nov. 26 at Elphin Sports Center, but the match won’t be counted in the Blitz standings.

The 36ers wind up their schedule when they square off with the Brisbane Bullets at MyState Bank Arena on Nov. 28. The Bullets are bannered by Chinese slotman Liu Chuanxing.

Adelaide came off a seventh-place finish with a 13-23 card last year behind star Josh Giddey, who was chosen sixth overall by Oklahoma City in the NBA draft last July.

The NBL season was initially set to kick off on Nov. 18 but was later reset to Dec. 3 due to travel issues and vaccination woes in Australia.
