WORLD Balance and reigning PBA MVP Scottie Thompson celebrate the success of the launch of his new colorway of the ST1 called “The Shot” last April 15 as it flew off shelves in less than 24 hours since it was released.
The ST1 was already up by midnight of April 15 on World Balance’s website and was listed as sold out at around 10 a.m.
This is already the fourth colorway of his signature line with World Balance, and ever since he signed with the brand for this collaboration, all the releases have been proven to be a hit, and fans demand more stocks.
Many fans were overjoyed as soon as the news came out that there would be a new colorway of the ST1 that will be out as they have been anticipating for this day after the ST1 reign was sold out last February after it was restocked. Fans were thrilled that they have finally copped their own pair of “The Shot,” a black-red colorway of his ST1, which is also seen as a tribute to his Ginebra roots.
As it is just a limited release, just like the previous colorways, many resellers have been taking advantage of this and are selling it for a higher price. This has been a usual occurrence ever since the first colorway of the ST1 was launched – which serves as a testimony that the ST1 line is indeed the best-performing local basketball shoe available in the market, making basketball and shoe fanatics eager to collect every release of the collection that drops.
The Shot is inspired by Scottie’s incredible three-pointer during a pivotal game that sparked a 9-0 comeback. The sleek black and red colorway is sure to strike fear in the hearts of any opponent.
