WILL defending champion San Beda return to the Big Dance, or will La Salle Green Hills get a shot at reaching the Promised Land anew?
That will be known today when the Red Cubs and Greenies clash in a knockout duel for a finals slot in the 98th NCAA juniors’ basketball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex.
The match is set at 2:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the finals opposite Letran.
La Salle Green Hills waylaid San Beda 92-79 three days ago to drag their semifinals showdown into a game of no tomorrow.
The Greenies will rely on Seven Gagate, Manuel Pablo, Rod Alian, Gian Gomez, and James Ison.
La Salle Green Hills is bidding to return to the finals for the first time since 2018.
The Red Cubs, who went into the Final Four armed with a twice-to-beat advantage as the No. 2 team, will pin their hopes on Chris Hubilla, John Lopez, Gab Ludovice, Jharmaine Lecciones and Joaquin Wagan.
The Squires trounced Mapua 83-78 last Monday to gain the first finals berth and ended a 14-year absence in the finals.
The best-of-3 title battle will begin Monday next week.
