Patrick Montano and Shawn Umali also combined for 27 points as Lyceum rose to 7-4.

The Heavy Bombers dropped to 6-4, still good for joint fourth with Emilio Aguinaldo College.

“I think my team deserves to win kasi they worked hard for it. Actually, hindi naman namin pinag-usapan iyong three-game losing streak,” Pirates coach Gilbert Malabanan said.

“Sinabi ko lang sa kanila na second round na so lahat ng laban namin is pahirap nang pahirap so kailangan talaga namin pagtrabahuhan,” he added.

Lyceum lost 87-88 in double OT to the JRU when they first met last Oct. 17.

Later, the Generals charged back from a 22-point deficit and nipped the San Sebastian Golden Stags 80-77.

JP Maguilano scored 22 points and grabbed 11 caroms for EAC, while Nat Cosejo and Ralph Robin added 16 and 13 markers, respectively.

San Sebastian fell to 3-7.

Alex Desoyo paced the Golden Stags with 24 points, while Tristan Felebrico registered 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Joshua Guiab carried the fight for the Bombers with 21 points and 10 boards, while Agem Miranda had 19 markers.

JL Delos Santos also had a 14-point, 11-assist effort for JRU.
