Pingris won’t be pushover PSL commissioner

RETIRED former PBA star Marc Pingris was mostly known for his work ethic and no-nonsense play.

He has vowed to bring toughness and discipline as commissioner of the newly formed pro league Pilipinas Super League.

Parang, imbestigahan, imbestigahan,” Pingris said in a recent online Philippine Sportswriters Association forum.

Pingris was referring to the game-fixing controversy that tarnished the credibility of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup last year, another pro league where one of the founders of the PSL, Rocky Chan, used to work.

Two squads — Siquijor and ARQ Builders-Lapu Lapu City — figured in a mockery of a match in the Visayas leg at the Alcantara Civic Center in Cebu.
