THE strong just got stronger.

TNT consultant Mark Dickel yesterday admitted that having combo guard Bobby Ray Parks Jr. in the squad is a no-brainer.

“I just couldn’t turn down the chance to get a player who can defend positions one through four,” Dickel was quoted as saying by spin.ph yesterday.

Parks, tabbed second overall by Blackwater in last year’s draft, was shipped by the Elite to the KaTropa for Don Trollano, Anthony Semerad, and Blackwater’s first-round pick in 2021 last Thursday.

Parks showed up in TNT’s practice yesterday at the Kerry Sports Manila in Shanri-La at the Fort in Taguig.

Dickel said he expects the 6-foot-4 Parks to be an integral part of the squad for the future, adding he is hoping Parks would jive with the KaTropa.

Parks, 26, posted norms of 20.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals for the Elite in the season-ending tourney. He joins a TNT side holding a 7-1 record in a tie with NLEX.

Parks will eventually settle down with the KaTropa, according to Dickel.

“It may take him a few weeks to get comfortable, but by the playoffs he will know what we need from him, “said Dickel.
