THERE were no regrets at the end of the tunnel for University of the Philippines’ one-and-done big man Quentin Millora-Brown after the Fighting Maroons ruled the 87th UAAP basketball tournament.

The 6-foot-10 big man, who played for the Citadel Bulldogs in the US NCAA Division I, had a successful UAAP run with UP, which completed its redemption bid.

The Katipunan-based crew took home a second title in four seasons last Sunday after it dethroned La Salle in a winner-take-all Game 3.

“I mean, it was an amazing decision (to play for UP). You know, I don’t think that there’s any way I can look back and have any regrets about anything. Just this season was amazing. So just, just really happy,” Millora-Brown said.

Millora-Brown, 24, said that his last game for the Maroons over the weekend, which was attended by 25,192 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, “was the perfect capstone” to a title.

“You know, I think it was the perfect capstone. You know, right now I just, I think of my lolo and I hope that he’s smiling down on me with my lolo up in heaven. And just, it’s the greatest way I could have seen it,” he said.

“So proud, so proud (of the team). Everyone just, all the work that we’ve all put in throughout the season. All of the, you know, setbacks that we faced. Just being able to get through it today and get the win. It was amazing.”
