Mavs outgun Warriors; Pacers win

LUKA Doncic scored a game-high 45 points as part of a triple-double, Klay Thompson turned back the clock with seven 3-pointers and the Dallas Mavericks avenged an NBA Cup loss to the Golden State Warriors with a 143-133 victory on Sunday night (Monday in Manila) in San Francisco.

Thompson finished with a season-best 29 points and Kyrie Irving tossed in 21 to complement eight assists for the Mavericks, who won for the eighth time in their past nine games.

Andrew Wiggins went for a team-high 29 points, Stephen Curry posted 26, Draymond Green added 21 and Jonathan Kuminga had 20 for the Warriors, who beat the Mavericks 120-117 on Nov. 12 but have won just five times in 14 games since.

In other games, it was the Pacers 119, Pelicans 104; Celtics 112, Wizards 98; Knicks 100, Magic 91; Wolves 106, Spurs 92; Lakers 116, Grizzlies 110; and Suns 116, Blazers 109.

Pacers 119, Pelicans 104

Pascal Siakam scored a game-high 22 points, helping lead Indiana to a win over visiting New Orleans in Indianapolis.

Tyrese Haliburton had 21 points and 10 assists, while Andrew Nembhard added 17 points for Indiana, which has won three of its last four. Obi Toppin scored 16 off the bench and Myles Turner chipped in 14 in the win.

Brandon Boston Jr. led the Pelicans with 20 points off the bench, followed by 19 apiece from Herb Jones and Dejounte Murray. Trey Murphy III scored 16 and CJ McCollum had 15 as New Orleans lost its fourth in a row and 13th in 14 games. Yves Missi had nine points and a game-high 14 boards.

Celtics 112, Wizards 98

Jayson Tatum collected 28 points and 12 rebounds to help Boston earn a road victory over Washington.

Payton Pritchard came off the bench and had 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Boston also received seven points, 11 rebounds and four assists in 27 minutes from Luke Kornet. It was a rough shooting night for Jaylen Brown, who was 4-of-14 from the field and 1-of-4 from the free throw line. He scored 11 points. KristapsPorzingis scored 11 points before he left the game in the second quarter with a foot injury.

Jordan Poole led the Wizards with 21 points. Coulibaly finished with 19 points and Justin Champagnie added 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Carlton Carrington put up 11 points and 10 rebounds.
