Shackled the last time out, Shiga ace guard Kiefer Ravena exacted revenge on Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and Nagoya yesterday.
With Ravena sparking a fiery start, the Lakestars ripped the Diamond Dolphins 110-79 to get back on track in the Japan B. League at the Park Arena Komaki.
The 6-foot Ravena scattered 16 points, to go with three rebounds, nine assists, and three steals for Shiga, which redeemed itself from a 68-107 drubbing at the hands of Nagoya last Saturday.
An NLEX star in the PBA, Ravena was held to only five markers on a woeful 1-of-13 shooting the last time out.
Ovie Soko led the Lakestars with a double-double of 26 points, 14 rebounds, and two assists, while Sean O’Mara had 22 points, nine boards, and five assists.
Kashiwagura added 16 and two, while Novar Gadson had 12 points and three boards off the bench for Shiga.
With the win, the Lakestars hiked their record to 6-2 while the Diamond Dolphins dropped to an even 4-4 slate.
Parks could only muster seven points on 2-of-4 shooting, on top of two rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
Coty Clarke paced the Diamond Dolphins with 26 points, seven boards, five steals, and four assists, while Scott Eatherton chipped in a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Shiga tackles the Kawasaki Brave Thunders this Wednesday at Ukaruchan Arena.
Nagoya battles Thirdy Ravena and San-En NeoPhoenix also this Wednesday at the Toyohashi City General Gymnasium.
