THE Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum today, Tuesday, centers on the country’s coming campaign in the Jones Cup in Taipei.
Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao will grace the public sports program to talk about the Elasto Painters’ preparations and chances in the Aug. 12-20 tournament making a comeback after a three-year hiatus due to the global pandemic.
Rain or Shine, which finished a strong second in the just concluded PBA On Tour, tapped naturalized player Ange Kouame to reinforce the team.
The first part of the session which starts at 10 a.m. features former national fencing and long-time University of the East coach Rolando “Amat” Canlas Jr. and some of the winners of the recent 1st Burlington Inter-Club International Challenge led by Sophia Catantan of UE, who won four gold medals.
The Forum is backed by San Miguel Corp., Philippine Sports Commission, Milo, Philippine Olympic Committee, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
