AFTER 44 years, the world’s biggest hoops tournament is set to return to the Philippines.
With the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Mall of Asia Arena, and Philippine Arena serving as venues for the FIBA World Cup next year, Filipinos who treat the sport as a religion will get the chance to stomp their feet and cheer their hearts out for Gilas Pilipinas.
Beginning March 1, limited passes will be available to fans with an early bird pricing.
Only 1,100 team passes will be sold online through FIBA’s official website from March 1 to 31 that will be good for five games in the eliminations.
“The journey for the FIBA World Cup 2023 in Manila starts now,” Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president and FIBA Asia vice president Al Panlilio said yesterday.
“Be the first to support your Gilas team by purchasing the Follow My Team Pass-Philippines. Together, let’s win for all!” he added.
