FIL-AM guard Remy Martin has declared early this month that he is joining this year’s NBA draft but still opted to see the proceeding’s process first before he makes a final decision.
“The 6-foot point guard who had been the face of the Arizona State men’s basketball program in his four years still intends on seeing the NBA draft process through, according to his father, Sam Martin,” sportswriter Michelle Gardner of Arizona Republic was quoted in USA Today.
“He entered the portal as a fallback in case he wanted another year to further enhance his resume.”
Martin, whose mother Mary Ann Macaspac hails from Macabebe, Pampanga, is projected to be a second round pick in the draft set on July 29 (July 30) in Manila).
He committed to transfer to Kansas if and when he pulls out in the draft.
