WITH a cash prize of $10,000 and an outright main draw slot in the Cebu Masters set next month up for grabs, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 teams are determined to prove their worth in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 International Standalone Quest.
A final battle pitting two of the three Philippine squads will certainly make the one-day tilt tomorrow at the Ayala Malls Solenad in Santa Rosa a grand celebration.
“Ang goal namin siyempre is All-Filipino na finals. Sa tingin ko kakayanin naman namin basta huwag lang kami maging kampante,” Chooks playing-head trainer Chico Lanete said.
Mac Tallo, the country’s No. 1 3×3 player, said they are ready to rise to the occasion.
“Siyempre kailangan naming manalo. Malaking selebrasyon ito para sa Chooks-to-Go at kila boss Ronald. Sana maulit namin iyong nagawa namin noong Super Quest ngayong Biyernes,” Tallo added.
The country’s top 3×3 team Cebu Chooks! banners the Philippine campaign and will be joined by Manila Chooks! and developmental quartet Butuan Chooks!
Cebu will be composed of Tallo, No. 3 Brandon Ramirez, No. 29 Vince Tolentino, and import Mike Nzeusseu.
Cebu is bracketed in Pool B in the level eight tournament along with Mongolia’s ZaisanMMC Energy, Japan’s Saitama Alphas, and Butuan Chooks!
Butuan will be led by former NCAA MVP Prince Eze along with new players JP Cauilan, Jason Strait, and Aurin Catacutan.
Manila, made up of No. 4 Lanete, No. 5 Dennis Santos, newcomer Dave Ando, and import Henry Iloka, will have its hands full against Mongolia’s Ulaanbaatar and Zavkhan MMC Energy, and Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Aseel.
