Big wins for Celtics, Thunder

JAYSON Tatum posted 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as the Boston Celtics defeated the host Miami Heat 110-106 on Sunday afternoon (Monday in Manila).

Kristaps Porzingis added 25 points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the Celtics, who also received 20 points and nine rebounds from Jaylen Brown.

Tyler Herro led Miami with 24 points. Bam Adebayo added 22 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

There were several injuries in the game.

In the other game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 38 points and Jalen Williams added 32 to lead the host Oklahoma City Thunder to a 127-113 win over the Sacramento Kings.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Thunder, who remained one of just three NBA teams without a three-game losing streak this season.

Luguentz Dort added 17 points, nine rebounds and three steals for the Thunder, while Chet Holmgren had 14 points and four blocks.

Malik Monk came off the bench for a team-high 26 points for the Kings, who have lost three of four.

Oklahoma City broke a tie with a 12-0 run early in the second quarter and led 67-57 at halftime. Sacramento trimmed the deficit to six early in the third quarter before the Thunder made the game’s biggest push.

With 4:43 left in the third quarter, the Heat’s Terry Rozier drove to the rim and twisted his right knee after getting fouled by Al Horford. Rozier, who scored 13 points and dished a team-high six assists, did not return. — Field Level Media
