THE PBA is leaving no stone unturned in showing it has what it takes in the Home-and-Away Season 2 of the EASL.

Champion squads San Miguel Beer and Meralco will carry the country’s colors in the regional cage tilt set to start on Oct. 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

The Beermen take on KBL runner-up Suwon KT Sonicboom while the Bolts clash with the new team Macau Black Bears as the league opens its season on Philippine soil for the first time.

The EASL announced its entire schedule for the 2024-25 season two days ago. The group stage will run from Oct. 2 to Feb. 12 before it holds its Final Four championship weekend from March 7-9.

Three other playdates are also set in the country, including another double-header on Nov. 13 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig pitting the Beermen against P.League+ runner up Taoyuan Pilots and the Bolts facing the KCC Egis, the reigning KBL titlist.

SMB battles another new team in the Hong Kong Eastern Dragons on Jan. 15 at the Philsports Arena. A week later, Meralco plays in the same Pasig venue against B. League runner up the Ryukyu Golden Kings.

“The 34-game EASL season is the ultimate test in Asian club basketball. After an incredible performance during our first season in 2023-24, this is now understood by teams, players and fans alike. EASL is ‘Where Champions Clash,’ the pinnacle of professional basketball in Asia,” said EASL CEO Henry Kerins.

“Fans all across Asia, whether in person or via our expanded broadcast coverage for the 2024-25 season, will all get to experience the highest level of basketball played in Asia today; EASL’s thrilling competition to become champion.”
