KENTUCKY, Kansas, Tennessee State, Auburn, and now Cincinnati.

Seven-foot center Sage Tolentino, a Gilas Pilipinas prospect, has formally received an offer to suit up for the Bearcats in the US NCAA Division I.

“I am extremely blessed to get an offer tonight from Coach (John) Brannen at UC,” Tolentino said on his Instagram account @sagee23_ yesterday.

“All glory to God,” he added.

Tolentino, 16, averaged 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks last season in leading Maryknoll High School to back-to-back State Championships in Hawaii.

Cincinnati produced 1964 NBA MVP Oscar Robertson, 15-year NBA veteran Kenyon Martin, as well as Nick Van Exel, Ruben Patterson, Danny Fortson, and current Orlando Magic forward Gary Clark.

The Bearcats were the pacesetter in American Athletic Conference with a 13-5 card before the US NCAA season was called off for good last March due to the health risks and uncertainties brought about by the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.

Tolentino is toughening up via the East West Private, the same agency that handles 7-foot-2 big man Kai Sotto, in Cincinnati, Ohio along with former Far Eastern University-Diliman high School standout Cholo Anonuevo.

Like Tolentino, the 6-foot-4 Anonuevo also got an offer to suit up for Tennessee.
