ADAMSON University coach Nash Racela is not done bolstering the Soaring Falcons’ line-up for the 86th UAAP basketball tournament later this year.
Former Letran High School wingman Emman Anabo has committed to bring his acts to Adamson.
Racela is convinced Anabo will be a big boost to the San Marcelino-based cagers.
“We welcome Emman to the Falcons’ Nest,” Racela said yesterday. “We believe in what he can bring and will definitely be a great addition to our program.”
The 6-foot-2 Anabo, 19, who hails from Baras, Rizal, played a big part in the Squires’ title triumph in the last NCAA juniors’ cage wars.
He was a sparkplug off the bench and averaged 8.33 points and 4.25 rebounds in 18 minutes.
Anabo has five full playing years and can immediately suit up this coming season.
He joins Baby Falcons Peter Rosillo and Mat Edding, and Fil-Am guards Matthew Montebon and Eli Ramos as the Falcons’ blue-chip recruits.
Adamson’s prized recruits will have to contend for their spots especially with star guard Jerom Lastimosa returning for his fifth and final season with Adamson.
With Lastimosa as their main man, the Falcons wound up with a 7-7 card for fourth last season.
Adamson, however, fell to eventual champion Ateneo in the Final Four.
The Falcons have not reached the finals since 1993 and last won it all in 1977 behind pro league great Hector Calma.
