TO welcome the world’s biggest basketball tournament, Smart has transformed the SM Mall of Asia Ball into a giant basketball with a hoop, considered as one of the most awe-inspiring, larger-than-life basketball tributes the country has ever seen.
Measuring 1.5 meters in diameter inside a ring with 111 meters in circumference, a total of 248 workers, including site workers, engineers, safety officers, and designers, among others, put up the massive installation amid days of downpour in the last three weeks.
Basketball fans are in for a huge treat when they pass by the mesmerizing MOA Ball spectacle, signaling not only the country’s participation as one of the hosts of this historic event but also as a nation with an unmatched love for the game.
