ATENEO Blue Eagles ace spiker Faith Nisperos has decided to forego her final playingg year ande announced her intentions to play in the professional ranks yesterday.
The 5-foot-10 outside spiker shared that she will not play her final UAAP season, after suting for the Eagles’ the past three years, and has committed to the Akari Chargers of the PVL.
Nisperos first soared for the Blue Eagles back in 2020 during the 82nd season of but was cut short as the league cancelled the season due to then rising COVID-19 cases.
In the league’s return last year, Nisperos powered the Blue Eagles to a third place finish and was awarded as the Second Best Outside Spiker
Nisperos and the Blue Eagles, however, missed the Final Four this season for the first time in 14 years after finishing the tilt at sixth with a 4-10 record.
Ateneo released a statement following Nisperos’ choice and thanked her “for being a model student-athlete embodying the One Big Fight spirit inside and outside the court.”
