EXPECT a fun-filled experience in the ASICS Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Manila presented by AIA Vitality that kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 26.
The Asics Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series event will feature running, music and community combined with the participants dashing through historical landmarks in the country’s capital.
Runners will go through the course starting in Luneta Park, then head to the National Museum and Manila City Hall, Fort Santiago and to Chinatown in Binondo.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said the event, which will be filled with entertainment, live bands, and disc jockeys, will highlight the beauty of the city as it aligns with the Department of Tourism’s “Love the Philippines” campaign.
Vice Mayor Yul Servo led the ribbon cutting yesterday at the Robinsons Place Manila.
“It is an opportunity to promote the beautiful sites of Manila–like the Jones Bridge, Arrocero, and the Walled City of Intramuros,” Pangan said.
Kabir Buxani, Director of Sonak Corporation (Official Distributor of ASICS, said the event promotes health and wellness. He said the marathon will have a 42-kilometer, 21k, 10k, and 5k run.
“Celebrating the pulse of Manila, we proudly champion the essence of an active, healthy lifestyle. ASICS fervently encourages the belief that a sound mind and a sound body are the pillars of true well-being, illuminating the path to a healthier and more fulfilled community,” he said.
AIA Philippines’ Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Henson shared her excitement about the firm’s participation in the event.
“Being active is key to achieving and sustaining physical and mental well-being. Events like this make staying active more enjoyable. AIA Philippines, through its groundbreaking wellness program, AIA Vitality, is pleased to take part in this fun and engaging event that helps thousands of Filipinos live healthier, longer, better lives,” Henson said.
