AFTER a fast start, Dottie Ardina stumbled with back-to-back bogeys on the last two holes to card a 71 and slump to a five-way tie for 42nd place at the end of the Kroger Queen City Championship yesterday (Sunday in the US) at the Kenwood Country Club Kendale Course in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ardina reeled off three birdies in the first five holes, bogeyed the sixth and added her fourth birdie on the seventh for a 3-under 33 at the front and looked headed for her best-ever finish in her eight-year career on the US LPGA tour.
But after parring holes No. 11 t to 16, the former Pinay golf prodigy unraveled with bogeys on Nos. 17 and 18 coming home that netted her $7,802 (around P444,000).
